seems almost imminent. I read an article on yahoo! news today that Canon is joining Nikon in a move to stop production of the single lens camera. They stated that they aren't going to fully abandon the making of film cameras for digital, but if the market continues to shift towards digital then, well you know the rest. No demand, no supply. Simple economics at that point.

I'm not sure how I feel about that. I REALLY love my digital camera, on the other hand though there are some things that are best captured by film. We know that most of the same tricks used for film can also be used for the digital, but I am not on the bandwagon with many that think that digital is the only way to capture the world around us.

I had been wanting to upgrade my digital camera, since I'm still using my fantastic FujiFilm 2 megapixel camera, but I think I may just switch that thought and invest in another film camera. The 2 that I have are just collecting dust in my closet (both were used in my photography class) and with my renewed love of photography I should invest in a good film camera. At least that's what I am telling myself right now.
